The award-winning Outset Start-Up programme has now come to an end in Waltham Forest. We were delighted to work with so many entrepreneurs and to help them on their business start-up and growth journey.

Whilst you can no longer access our Outset support service, entrepreneurs can still access Outset Online,which is our innovative online learning tool, ensuring the service we deliver is accessible to everyone in the community. It comprises of our award-winning Outset content delivered in a user-friendly, highly interactive and social platform, encompassing over 50 hrs of learning.

As clients work through all the modules which teaches them the vital knowledge and skills for creating sustainable businesses, their answers create a business plan and set of financials which are fully aligned to the requirements of the Start-Up Loans service, provided by Outset Finance, who are an official national delivery partner of the Start Up Loans scheme, administered by The British Business Bank.

We won’t baffle you with jargon, but will share our wealth of knowledge and expertise in a friendly and supportive way, helping to develop you and your business. You’ll also be working in a group of your peers, and benefitting from the invaluable support of, and connections with, a like-minded community.

How we can help

Business Start Up: A series of 2 or 3 day modular workshops covering all the essential topics for business success will be scheduled at different venues in Waltham Forest. 

We are just about to run our 6^th business start-up course, which is already fully booked!

Professional Advisor support: You’ll be able to access some 1:1 advisor support by phone, skype, email or in person, ideal for when you get a bit stuck and just need to discuss something specific for your business. With Outset, there’s always someone to help you on your enterprise journey – there’s no such thing as a stupid question!

Outset Online: Our excellent online platform is full of great content and exercises to work through in your own time, so if you need to take a bit longer to prepare your business plan, or prefer to learn at home or after hours, or just work through an exercise again to ensure your understanding, this platform will really be helpful to you. Our national Outset community: We also facilitate a virtual community so that you can stay in touch with those you have met in workshops or at our events, as well as other Outset entrepreneurs across the UK. This is a fantastic way to build your network of like-minded people, share ideas and ask questions, and also find potential collaborators or suppliers. The Outset community believe in helping each other, as they’ve all been on the same journey.

Outset Finance: Financing the start of a business can be a challenge, but our sister service, Outset Finance, is a national delivery partner for the government’s Start Up Loan programme. It has enabled over £15m of finance for clients so far, helping to give new businesses the working capital they need to make a great start. The Outset Finance team will guide you through the simple application process and also offer post-loan mentoring.
