3 Half-Day Business Start Up Course - The Hub
Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th from 10:00am - 2:00pm each day. This course runs for three half days. You will need to attend all three days of this course.
During this three-day program we will take you and a small group through our start up course. This will give you the tools and knowledge to build and run your business. In this course we will take you through:
Understanding who your customers are, how to appeal to them and the most effective way to reach them
Protecting the downside by testing what the market wants
Learning how your business can give you the lifestyle that you crave
Getting the most from your marketing channels - Email, Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Getting clear on your finances - Cashflow, Breakeven and Start-up Costs
Making a clear plan to make your idea a reality.
Visitors to the Enterprise Hub should note that there is no onsite parking. We recommend that our clients and visitors use the nearest car park which is Seabourne Road Car Park.
If you are registered as a sole trader, please could you bring a letter from HMRC (with your UTR number on), if you have not provided this already.
The award-winningprogramme provides tailor-made business start-up support to help you gain the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to start and sustain your own business through business start-up workshops, one-to-one coaching and networking events.
These fully funded workshops are available to businesses based in Dorset.
DORSET BUSINESS GROWTH PROGRAMME
The Dorset Business Growth Partnership is designed to help any Dorset county-based SME become more competitive. Dedicated strands of activity will include pre-start and start-up support, improving companies’ digital capabilities, management and leadership skills and scope for internationalisation. Access to finance will be delivered through grants and loans alongside advice, mentoring, training and events.
The three-year SME Competitiveness programme to be run until March 2020, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is led by WSX Enterprise and the Dorset Growth Hub with a range of support partners.

The Partnership includes the following Local Authorities: North Dorset, Christchurch and East Dorset, Weymouth & Portland, West Dorset, Bournemouth Borough Council (Accountable Body), Borough of Poole, and Dorset County Council.
The beneficiaries of the project are SMEs in the Dorset LEP geographical area from eligible ERDF sectors. The delivery plan has been developed in close consultation with all partners, links to and supports the Dorset LEP ESIF strategy and also addresses the issues identified by the Dorset business community as part of the Dorset LEP ESIF consultation process.
